NUBRA VALLEY TREK

Located to the north of Leh, Nubra valley is famous for the ancient "silk route" and its famous double humped (Bacterian) Camel.

Connected with Leh by the highest motorable pass in the world "Khardonga pass (at 18,380 ft) its unspoiled landscape bound by the Karakoram ranges are the features of this valley.

 

We offer two treks to this valley

 Trek 1:  Phyang to Hunder Trek  takes 6 to 7 days with La-Sermo (5150m) as its highest point.

 Trek 2: Sabu – Khalsar trak is normally finished in 5 days and the highest point at 5000m is Digaar La.

 

RUPSHO TREK

This area lies towards south east of Ladakh. The altitude of the area ranges between 4300m-5500m. The climate of the area is cold and dry with vast open grazing land. The inhabitants are known as Changpas, having a nomadic life and depend on livestock rearing mostly pashmina goats, yaks and sheep for their sustenance.

The picturesque lake of Tsomoriri, rugged mountains, vast valleys, famous peaks like Mentok-1, Mentok-2, high altitude wild life and birds, and the untamed culture of its nomadic community are the special features of the area.

TREKKING AROUND LEH

The treks around this area are easily accessible from Leh, yet offer a diverse landscape with famous peaks like Stok Kangri (6115m), Kang Yatse 6400mts and the Zanskar Range from the south west. During these treks, one can view Karakorum and Nun Kun Range (above 7000m) from the top of a high pass. This trek encompasses the Hemis National Park and it is not infrequent to spot wild animals.
